My first actual port. I've had lots of practice, actually, with ports... But it was all on ports made for me, and all kept private. The practice was for myself to see, no one else.

But, today...I decided to finally bite the bullet, and make lineart. That's the only thing that had been keeping me from doing ports, this whole time, was my fear of making ugly lineart.

Since I didn't have a sketch on hand to make the lineart from, I used a picture I took with my camera phone of my Gerbil, Alex http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....ou/gerbil2.jpg

The only thing taken from the photo is the lineart. Shading and everything else is my own (and, hell, the lineart was hard as hell to do, too, because the picture was so blurry.).
