I'm finished with the speedpaint I've been working on recently.
I guess it's a bit less speedy than my last one, but not by too much, and I think I've been able to increase the level of detail and scope of the piece.
This one took about 6.5 hours, not including the time to make a basic sketch. That's a LOT faster than my longer pieces. The process was recorded at http://www.livestream.com/chromamancer
These speedpaints are going to be great practice and a lot of fun.

Oooh! I loooove that. Beautiful work. Very tender and touching, as well. The little hatchlings are adorable, and so is the tender touch between human and dragon. Always a favorite subject of mine.
Excellent work! Envious you can crank out something that beautiful in so short a time.

Well dragons and humans together does make for a fascinating subject! My primary story series is all about dragons and humans, as well.
Yeah, I can only imagine that speed painting, especially that well, would be excellent technique practice! Mind you, I can't draw or paint or anything myself, so I'll have to take your word for it. I could try speed-writing but I don't think that would lead to any extra benefit aside from more typos, lol.

It's such a wonderful art!
