I saw a pair of cougars at the Chicago zoo who had noticed a little rat or mouse wandering around just outside their enclosure... I've never seen big cats act so cute. They looked just like a housecat interested in a toy, pacing back and forth, eyes wide as saucers, ears perked, jumping up on hind legs to peek through the bars and falling all over each other to get as close as possible to the little guy. ^.^

Yes! There is a reason we used to be classified in the same category as housecats. (felis) Cougars are the largest species of cat also that will purr, and they do tend to share alot of the manerisms of their smaller cousins. I had one play hide and seek with me at one point, with the whole peaking around the corners and scampering away bit.. although I admit i'd be a tad bit worried about what would happen should I be the hidee. :p
