I love the logo and the background! I'd change some stuff though:
The username and password boxes are too small and don't look clickable.
The whole login part looks out of place, actually. I'd change the color of that box and make it stretch all the way across the sidebar.
The white text (the date on the second post) is unreadable.
The lorem ipsum looks like a quote because it's in italics. If it's just going to be regular text, make it, well, regular.
