Saw this also in AL... a black squirrel. Talking to the folks up there, they are semi-common, but I have NEVER seen one of these fellas down here. Not quite a completely solid black, since there is a sort of brownish tint along his belly, but still, rather unusual. This particular one ended up being seen a couple of different times, so I'm thinking he lives in that tree there, or at least nearby.

Picture was taken through a screened window, so quality wasn't as great as I'd cared for, but figured I would share it anyway. Squirrels are pretty neat to watch.
