Cross-posting because my gallery is lacking finished work!
This is a collaborative effort between myself and
She and I were both trying to come up with costumes for a local cultural celebration called the Procession of the Species when the idea struck to do some bird masks off of the bases I've been working on.
I spent a good 6-8 hours on this before I had to go to sleep at four AM so I could drive ourselves out to Olympia for the parade. I managed to at least get the basic facial pattern cut-out, sewn together, shaved, and then attached to the face before requiring rest. Crys was gracious enough to fashion the hood, attach the eyes, epoxy their lids, and add the adorable gryphonic details, including the silicone tongue! You can see shots of all the details here.
I only wore the head for about 2-3 hours as a first time suiting experience and had a blast! Visibility in this style of mask is amazing and I didn't get near as warm as I thought I would. :)
This mask is now being re-homed with Rotarr for whom I'll be making a tail and paws to go with it too!
Thank you again!
Also, apologies for 'doubles' in anyone's inboxes. Crys did an awesome job composing this image, so I am re-using it here. <3

For sure! :) I am pretty certain that crystumes has her plate full and won't be able to collaborate on your project, but I'll happily take on the challenge if you're still interested once my queue is empty and I am taking new orders. <3 If you'd like to get a general idea of cost, please feel free to send me an email that includes all the references you think I might need as well as specifically how finished you'd like your commission to be once you decide. Ie: Do you want just a mask, a mask and gloves, a mask/gloves/tail, etc. I am not currently doing footpaws because the idea scares the bejeezus out of me and I don't want to make a pair for someone until I've made a tester set so I can gauge what will make them most durable.
ANYWAY! My email: Spyn0ff[at]gmail.com
If you have any other questions I'll be happy to answer them there and give you an idea of a price estimate for when you're ready. ^^
