Look at me, making an effort to keep this page updated. :'D
A trade with the ever wonderful Lucky978 on deviantART! She gave me the option to revive one of her old characters or draw her main character(Fell) but I chose this one because of all the bright colors; I knew it would look great with watercolor pencils because those tend to be pretty saturated.
I actually screwed up on the background the first time so I had to cut the wolf out using scissors and an exacto knife D: I was so scared that those 2 feathers flowing out behind would break off, one of them came pretty close.
Also, I used metallic gold ink on this, look here to see how it shines: http://zulayawolf.deviantart.com/ar.....ects-368711598
Watercolor pencil, micron, watercolor, gold metallic ink, a lil bit of white gellyroll pen. 9x12inch on 140 lb watercolor paper.

haha yeah, I got some stuff that I've had for years. I learned a trick though! To save your brushes, get them wet first, rub them on a bar of soap till its lightly lathered, then dip it in the friskett and the friskett comes right off :3 the only issue is if you have too much soap on the brush it'll make the friskett stick to the paper :C
Wooow, really? I didn't know that!
Lately I've been using a wooden stylus to put it down in really thin areas - like, I used that stylus for this whole piece. And then after the masking fluid dries you can just rub it off the wood. BUT, if you wash your paintbrush right after you finish with the masking fluid, you don't have to throw it away - it's too ruined to be used for painting anymore but not enough to just use for the masking fluid. So I have a designated "masking fluid" brush, haha! (✿≧ω≦)
