I don't comment on art too much here, but I felt compelled to say something about this piece you did.
I really think you captured a lot of emotion here that's very touching. You really do a good job of conveying the feelings of the character in this piece.
As far as technical skills go I'm also impressed. The whisker detail around the eyes and cheeks is well done (especially the eyes) and the fur ruffling effect you used is nice for making the character seem more fluffy. I also like the way you made the character's paws a sort of beautiful meld between human and cat, not quite kitty-paws and not quite human hands.
