That was a thought I had, but I'm using mostly leftover fur for this. I have long shag that's 3-4inch and a brown natural marking that's 2inch. I don't want to pay for 5inch or weft it so I went with the straight down option.
If it doesn't look right after furring, then it's easier to take foam and materials away than it is to add later. :)
