must've been a mean subway or policies have changed since i worked there a couple of years ago! for me it was 1$ for 6in and 1.50$ for footlong, no matter what sort of craziness you put in your sammich!
I think that later changed to half price instead of the super cheapo menu but we still at least got a discount. Your manager is a buttface D:<

I worked at the walmart bakery here where I live for about 3 months. To attempt to make a long story short, I had been warned by several college classmates to never work there, and their employee count drops like flies in a bug spray dept for a reason. Out of the little 'class' for training I attended, i was told to watch my fellow trainees and see how they left the job one by one. Out of 12 people...I was the one that lasted the longest. Managers would play favorites, lie, never own up to their mistakes, never take action if we actually managed to report theft, etc etc. My schedule was horrible and they'd often keep me on a schedule til about 11 am at night and then expect me to be able to function well enough by the time I get home from work to sleep for a few hours and return to work by 4 am. Did this because I had alternating time days, and it always worked out so that I would get a horrible sleep schedule. As if I wasn't miserable enough, I'd be pulled from my bakery station and told to go stock in the back, carrying heavy ass carts everywhere and still be expected to have every bit of bread & baked goods prepped, packaged, and shelved by no later than 10 am ( 6 am for the doughnuts ). They basically slave drive their employees and they get away with it.
luckily I don't work at a bakery and we can't eat leftover dogs at the grooming salon otherwise i'd be far more chub than i am!
i used to want to work at a bakery so bad, and almost got hired at one at some point! sounds fun :D Its great to be at a workplace where you can be totally silly, totally makes the job much more worth it!
