This is a portrait, painted by  hbruton in 2008.

The image is that of a character of mine, a samuraiko, from a tabletop RPG called "Legend of the Five Rings." Tora is the Daimyo of a small clan called the Tiger Clan.

Along her long quest from a Ronin warrior, to the head of a Family and Clan, she became a great warrior, and built her own persona and legend (along with that of those who joined her, and whom she joined as well.) Eventually a Dragon Clan monk skillfully tattooed her with the stripes and image of a tiger, which became her trademark.

Originally, I had asked Heather Bruton to paint Torakhan in his Tigerdile form (Tiger, with Crocodile back and thick tail), but by the time my commission slot came up, that phase had passed, and so I asked her to do this piece instead. :)
