3 awesome artists. 1 picture.
I've had this project in the back of my mind for several years. During that time I kept a keen lookout for just the right artist to do each piece of the "puzzle" and I'm very happy to now present to you the master piece of my gallery.
This picture portrays my main character (or fursona), Silvador, in both his common and true forms. The black panther is the form he takes most often, but the dragon is his true self and the background is by no means purely aesthetic.
I would like to extend a big thanks to
spookable, who drew Silv's panther form,
rhyu, who drew Silv's dragon form, and
fluff-kevlar who drew the background, for accepting my commissions and making this magnificent piece possible to create.
I'd also like to extend a special thankyou to Rhyu for helping with designing Silvador's dragon form, which up until now has been about as detailed as "a black chinese style dragon".
Each piece of this image is a work of art in and of itself, so here are links to the individual artworks:

Silvador and Istor (the sword) belong to me.
[before anyone says anything, yes, I know much of Silvador's dragon form isn't actually coloured black. His scales are black, but they have an iridescent surface i.e. they're shiny and reflect light.)
Silvador's Bio:
Name: Silvador (a.k.a. Michael Silvers)
Age: Unkown (appears aprox 28)
Species: Majesty Dragon/Panther (black)
Height: 6’ 2” (panther form)
History:
Silvador is of a race known as Majesty Dragons. They are among the most powerful creatures in existence as their very being is comprised of supernatural energy, or “magic”. But they are not immortal and can be killed.
An alliance of almost 30 different races once waged war against the Majesty Dragons and after centuries of fighting proved themselves to be a genuine threat to the dragons' existence. The Majesty Dragons decided that if they were to endure, they would need to leave the realm in which they resided.
A mighty gateway was created between the sheer cliffs of a canyon. The gateway was a portal to a new realm, created by the dragons themselves. There they would live in peace. But in order for their peace to remain undisturbed, the gateway would need to not only be closed, but destroyed, severing the connection between the two realms. This could only be done from the side where the gateway was first established, meaning someone would have to stay behind.
Silvador, bravest and mightiest of the Elite Guards, was selected to lead a small group of Majesty Dragons and defend “The Archway” while the remainder of his race retreated to the safety of their new home. The Black Majesty Dragon fought for several days and nights alongside his companions, holding back the forces of the allied races until, eventually, only he was left alive. And when the last of the Majesty Dragons had passed through the gateway, Silvador turned his attention from fighting and collapsed the canyon entrance, destroying the gateway and sealing his brethren on the other side.
With his duty finished, Silvador fled the battlefield and retreated into exile, seeking seclusion and refuge from anyone who might continue to hunt him. Eventually, tired and drained of much of his energy, the hero of the Majesty Dragons passed away. Though his physical form faded, his essence lingered, wandering the ethereal existence without thought or purpose.
Millennia passed and the Majesty Dragons slipped from legend to myth. But it eventually came to pass that a single being by the name of Maximus, who had attained an unparalleled magnitude of power, attracted the essence of Silvador from its aimless wandering beyond physical existence.
In a fit of rage, Maximus, destroyed all of creation in an instant. Nothing was left but emptiness and himself. Immediately regretting his actions, Maximus restored all that had been, leaving it as though nothing had happened. Roused from its eternal slumber and drifting, the Majesty Dragon’s essence was attracted and drawn to the display of power that rivalled its own. Though lifeless and devoid of conscious thought, the essence of Silvador was all that made the Dragon what he was, a Majesty Dragon, and it merged with Maximus’ power, increasing his strength even further.
But, changed by his actions, Maximus withdrew to the depths of existence and waited in eternal silence for many more millennia. The ability to destroy and restore all of existence in the space of a moment was a power he felt he did not deserve. So in the shadows he waited, ever watching, vowing that when one worthy of such power was granted life, he would pass that power on to them so that they could do great good with it.
And, in time, that life was born. With the inherited power of Maximus, he aided many people throughout his life. Eventually, that chosen life even had a son.
Michael Silvers was born with much of the power of his father, but possessed something his father did not. Though Maximus and his power's successor were able to access the power and memories of Silvador, it was the new child with whom the Majesty Dragon’s essence truly merged, once more forging a life of its own.
As Michael matured and became an adult, his dreams were filled with visions, flashes of memories that revealed the truth of who and what he was.
And so it came to pass that Silvador, the Black Majesty Dragon, was reincarnated and once more born back into existence. Across the universe, the Majesty Dragon is known to many as Lord Silvador, a title granted to him out of respect for all the aid he has given to those requiring his help. He has lived for eons and this time has given him a vast wealth of experience and confidence. Few dare to weather his power and fewer still have the power to pose a threat to him.
Coupled with his own power, Silvador wields a sword of unknown origin called Istor. Most believe that the name translates to “Dragon Slayer”. But this is a loose translation and misconception. The literal translation of the blade's name is “Magic’s Bane”. As dragons are commonly the most magical of all creatures, the meaning was misinterpreted.
Forged within the opposite spectrum of magic, the sword is of anti-magic. This means that any and all forms of magic it encounters through direct contact is instantly dispelled and the body in which that magic resided is sheered through as thought it doesn’t exist.
Silvador has stood against no force that he could not defeat. However, he acknowledges that the universe is vast and ever changing, and so, could potentially produce a power that equals or even surpasses his own. Ever vigilant, he stands as a guardian of the universe. But unlike most hero figures, Silvador does not concern himself with minor matters. Crime and death are a constant throughout the universe and Silvador knows this, so he leaves such things to those who deal with them on a daily basis. It is much larger matters that Silvador concerns himself with.
Not all who attain great power are as selfless as Silvador is. When these powers are turned on undeserving lives that cannot defend against them, the Dragon will intervene. If a war grows unchecked and threatens to encompass worlds that have nothing to do with it, Silvador will act.
Personality:
Silvador spends most of his time in semi-seclusion. While he’s not anti-social, he enjoys the peace and serenity of keeping to himself and unless he has something specific to say, he usually keeps quiet.
His typical demeanour is calm but also serious. Power and experience has left him confident in his abilities while his long life has kept him from growing arrogant and cocky. He doesn’t see himself as some kind of hero, just someone with the ability to help where most cannot.
Though he was not born a Dragon, the essence of Silvador makes him a Majesty Dragon. However, Silvador rarely appears in his true form, preferring instead to appear as a Black Panther.
Sexuality:
Silvador has had only a few true loves throughout his long life. But great gaps of time span between each and these times are usually filled with less meaningful relationships.
The panther/dragon crossbreed is straight and as physically attracted to woman as the next male. However, he prefers to keep a gentlemanly approach to woman, often treating even the briefest of flings with the utmost respect. His tastes are typically vanilla and lean to a more passionate side of things. Silvador considers the female form a work of art and beauty and delights in experiencing each one as though it is the first.
Despite his typically serious attitude, Silvador possesses a playful, teasing side that is often drawn out during such encounters.
Some notes of no real value:
This character wasn’t created on a whim nor was he carefully thought out. His existence is the product of the wild imagination of a boy who desired much more than he had.
Over the course of about 10 to 15 years, I spent a lot of time letting my imagination run wild in my own head. I created a variety of characters over those years, most of which were “heavily inspired by” other characters from many different places, and included them in a progressive story and world within my own mind. Silvador was not the first to be created, but he came to be the focus of my imaginary world. Most of the details and plot developments have been long forgotten but what is here is the core of the story behind the character.
While many fursonas are created to reflect their creators, mine is more of a representation of what I would like to be. While some aspects of the personality are my own, others are what I imagine they would be should I possess the power Silvador does. Much of the character is wild fancies of a young, carefree child. But this is because I was essentially still a child when Silvador was first created. However, looking back on things, much of Silvador’s personality still represents what I desire, the level of power that grants me the freedoms I don’t possess. In essence, Silvador is not who I am, rather, who I wish to be.
Originally, long before I discovered the wonders of the internet and furry-ism, Silvador’s “common” form was human with Black Panther ears and tail. For various reasons I’m not going to go into, I changed this form to a full Black Panther and have since decided to leave it at that. As for his true form; while the race Silvador belongs to are called “Majesty” Dragons, their form is essentially that of Chinese Dragons.
In the universe Silvador exists in, Chinese Dragons and Majesty Dragons are one and the same. At some point in time, Majesty Dragons were seen by ancient Chinese people who they drew what they saw... and everyone else just thought they were loopy.
