Its not really something that can really be explained all that well to be honest. Its a wonder why people who have foot fetishes have foot fetishes in the first place. I'd say its an acquired taste, but one does not simply acquire taste for feet let alone stinky/sweaty/smelly feet at that (with some exceptions of course). All I can say is, and this is from a person that likes smelly feet is that, something about the odor of smelly feet is like an aphrodisiac, can't explain but it is what it is lol.
I can't say that I believe that, although its an interesting idea. It sounds way to weird for people to suddenly develop a foot fetish just because of an epidemic, especially since according to people who don't foot fetishes, or just think feet are nasty in general think that the feet are the nastiest part of the part, when in fact I would argue there are other parts of the body that are as nasty if not more so, yet people enjoy activities that involve these. I'd say its a pretty subjective tasting kind of thing.
Regardless of the connotation of the question I'll answer. It's just that same sexual rush that people feel from seeing sexual images. Doesn't mean I'm just turned on my feet alone. Different things turn me on. That's all I got. The rest is just talking out if my arse tyring to find justification. I can't. Asking why someone is turned on by feet or furries is like asking a gay or lesbian why they prefer bring with the same sex.
