Everyone around me are constantly having babies and it frustrates me so much. I don't know what it is, but having kids is something I've wanted since I was 16, more than anything. I know I've decided that, for now, I can live and do whatever I want without that responsibility, and there's still plenty of time for kids in the future and that'd be the best for them, too, to wait till I'm at a point where I can let them have a comfortable, stable life (unlike the one I've had) but some days, sometimes weeks, it's on the front of my mind... I wonder WHEN it'll actually get to happen... And why do I have to be the only female I know that is sitting around waiting when all my friends and family, whether they are younger, older, or even the same age they've all got kids...
I mean lately, sure, I've been really enjoying working and spending money and going out and doing the sorts of things that I wouldn't have time to be doing if I had kids, and I'm sure I'm just going through a bit of a phase again (pretty sure this is brought on so suddenly by a girl at work telling me she's pregnant) and hopefully it'll pass and I can stop thinking about this stuff :(

Shove this in life's face: http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_matk.....5FK1qbptp8.gif
Or, if you're an Insanity Wolf fan:
WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS...
FUCK LEMONS.
GRAB A GUN.
SHOOT LIFE.
STEAL ALL ITS POSSESSIONS.
SNORT SOME MORE COCAINE
(Cocaine is optional :I)

I think it's bothering me a little too because I've just decided to get the implanon which is a surgical rod that pretty much will prevent me getting pregnant for a few years yet. Granted it can be removed it's kind of just freaking me out. Like as if I've decided that it wont happen for at least another 2 years now and ugh that seems like a long time for me...
Yeah that's the idea... Just feeling a little frustrated lately because no one else seems to care about getting ready and just jumping in and having kids. The government makes it too easy for people to be able to have kids by giving them money if they haven't got it themselves v.v
Could you maybe do some baby sitting or a bit of work at a childcare facility or an orphanage? It is frustrating seeing everyone around you further along in life than you are. But you also meet alot of people who are behind you in life, but your brain sort of blocks it out or forgets about that.
As for waiting until you are "ready" to have kids...I don't think any person is fully "ready" to become a parent. It is a massive change! But as long as you have friends and family around you who care about you and can help teach you and even lend a hand (to give you a rest), you should be able to cope.
A few things to think about:
You change when you are around a little child. It feels like a natural thing built into us to help us raise them. (When I'm around my little "niece" I suddenly become all gentle and caring for her...other times...im just a selfish jerk ^.^)
Children were traditionally not brought up by only the parents, but also the community. This could be friends, family, neighbours etc. It's difficult and tiring to raise a child on your own or with a partner, but with other people to help, definitely makes it alot easier on you.
Best wishes,
Dan

Don't think about it for too long or you will make yourself depressed. It is best to take a pin to that baby bump in that black thunder cloud or hurricane cloud of a thought bubble and continue to consider yourself lucky you do not have that responsibility.
Raising a baby is a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for at least 18 years. There is no breaks, no vacations, no getting fired or quitting. Once you start, there is no going back, only forward. You will even have to be giving the child love as a parent (a child does not give love to the parents) for an even longer time than the time it takes to raise him or her to adulthood, and I'm not even talking about marriage which is an easier job than raising a child. Lol
Look, if it is just the pregnancy you or your body is craving for then become a surrogate first.
