Über den Himmel Wolken ziehn
Über die Felder geht der Wind
Über die Felder wandert
Meiner Mutter verlorenes Kind.

Über die Straße Blätter wehn
Über den Bäumen Vögel schrein
Irgendwo über den Bergen
Muss meine ferne Heimat sein.


I think my pronunciation is a bit off, but then again most German songs I've heard pronounce some stuff wrong, so I guess I've got a leg to stand on here.
Sorry about lacking a translation; the only one I've seen for this poem is a piece of shit. I guess it's just kinda lost in translation. D:
