lol! photoshop is amazing, my boyfriend has made me a file that i use for all the snow i end up needing XD so all those tiny white specs just took a few strokes in photoshop XD

Lucky xD I'd hate to imagine what a pain it is to draw any downfall with a pencil, I reckon rain is easier then snow or hail but still!

oh, thank you X3 the back ground was half-assed though so i don't think you could call it amazing, but i am happy with how she came out ^^

I still can't put my finger on it but it's just Something about that character that in my opinion is just perfect. Maybe the look in the eyes combined with the figure, maybe the palette or clothing, maybe just the hair, I don't know but it's simply a Great character for art at the very least

Ah, sorry for my assumption, I admit I'm not too used with artists commissioning others

The snow looks very odd... looking towards the bottom especially, seeing the texture sheet you used just randomly stops and cuts it straight across the image. The fact you just laid it on top of the whole page isn't good either. You should of used separate layers and did the snow separately for the big image and the small panel to adjust size of the flakes. And the snow that has gathered looks highly rushed. Some of it is hovering in the air, when it should be settled on the door frame. Also, there's no snow gathering on the floor?

Technical details... I don't know if she's sitting or standing in the panel, overall it makes her proportions look off. As for the door itself, the height of the paper windows raises considerably in the big image, as they were a lot closer to the floor in the panel. Those black...THICK lines that make up the floorboards are really distracting, and contrast too much against the entire page. You would of been better off with line art and drawing the gate part in, instead of making those poles stand out with the lineless soft shading.

Your character is beautiful, yes, but that doesn't mean the rest of the page doesn't matter.

to be honest here, i did this in 3 hours and most of it was the full body XD it was in no way suppose to be detailed or such for the background XD i personally like it, and the back ground in total was about 20 mins for the small panel and the back ground behind her XD manga pages are mostly people focused anyway since they tend to kinda be flipped through ^^

not to mention, i did get the size from how big the file has to be for printing, so in all reality you wouldn't see it this close up XD but it was a half assed back ground XD

and, again, the panel was pretty half-assed XD the only real focus i had for this was the character XD things to add to that, that may or may not make a difference to you is that i haven't slept and did this to kinda keep myself awake while i waited on my mom to get home to walmart XD

and i really hope i don't sound rude by saying this, but can you please avoid giving me critiques in the future on things i don't ask for it on? i know i asked for comments on it, but that was aimed at helping me price it ^^; im pretty sure i said at one point that i would ask for critiques on images where i feel i made progress or such on, which im working on one i would fit in that category off and on for the last 2 days xD and i know that you told me that not accepting critiques is bad, but i don't like everything i do to be critiqued, especially things where i wasn't aiming at it to be perfect in every way XD

again, hope it don't sound rude, im just really tired, kinda frustrated cause i had to wait for 15 mins at the deli cause mom wanted to get a bunch of lunch meat, that i won't even eat mind you. And coming home to a really long critique when i didn't really want one is kinda... depressing to be honest XD

feel free to give critiques and such on things though when i ask for them ^^

You told me you didn't want critique cause people keep telling you to "stop drawing anime". Which absolutely none of my critique was aimed at that. And I've never ever seen you ask for critique. Asking for "comments" has been the closest to that, and I accidentally read "charge" as change" ...as if you were wondering what to change.

But yeah... you're only hindering yourself if you can't take what other point out and work with it, and you can't expect to be a mature artist if something this small can depress you. We can blame it on you being tired this time, but what about the next? There are a lot of people who are brutal with their critiques, and quite frankly, will give them despite or not knowing you don't want them. I think this is the first time I've critiqued you, so it's not an "every piece" kind of thing... so no worries about that.

You're not rude, and I'm not attempting to be either. Again...just straight forward, which is easy to come off as rude unless I littered my post in smilies. heh (I dunno, I don't feel like doing that today). I can try to critique the next piece you ask for it on, but it's never a guarantee. Sometimes you spot stuff that needs improvement in one picture that's not present in another.

reason i say i know its half assed is cause i don't see a lot of backgrounds in manga, at least the ones i read. If there is back grounds its generally not done to the point where its meant as a "focus" ^^ i read mostly shoujo manga though, so that might have something to do with it XD

and i always tend to think someone is being really serious or blunt when they don't add smiles to their stuff XD thats probably why i do it so often ^^ actually im not ever sure why i do it so often lol

but i do tend to spend a lot of time looking at the manga pages XD that's why it takes me so long to read them i think XD but a lot of people i know just fly right through them ... OTL so i thought i was just weird XD
