From a scientific perspective, a centaur is a creature whose physical existence is next to impossible. That's what I love about this fandom. We create things from our imaginations and make them possible. We dream. :3 I find that lovely. And since it's Taursday, and I love puns and mythical creatures, I decided to give this a go.
(It was supposed to be just a sketch. O_O I have no self control. XP)
I also experimented a bit with this.... What do you guys think of the different style of drawing fluff?
(... K, back to drawing my art trade. XP)

It's okay, I know it was either meant in humor or was serious. Just sayin'. I live in CT, Boston is close to me and it is one of my special places. I went there on a middle school class trip. The people there were wonderful and it's an amazing city. It hurt me deeply when I started hearing what happened on the news, and it's still a sensitive subject. After the tragedy, I saw a lot of awful jokes people were making about the bombing, and it really set me off. :/ I guess what I'm getting at here is please be a bit more mindful in your comments. I try to practice that myself, and I am far from a perfect, good human being. Just know that different people react differently to different things. From now on, let's not probe touchy subjects. :P *friendly hug* I'm not trying to be mean or scold you. But in the future, let's just not.
Hmmm... I think a taur would be slower than your average quadruped, since the creature is less aerodynamic... But you'd be able to use your arms while running, like in Narnia. Those centaurs can use bows while booking at full speed. :)

Easy for chakats: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10806751/ Not so much for a regular taur, unless you happen to be a Stellar Foxtaur http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10738006/
Seems like it would work well. xD Look at this. http://wannabemustangjockey.deviant.....llery/28975987
o.o you mean like a dog harness, have a look at my taur's harness http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8623395
Welcome to the taur club ^^ *puts a wristband on your arm*
I am a taur at times too.
Walking with 4 legs is hard at first but you'll get use to it
You'll run faster since you have extra pair of legs and extra organs to support you (extra set of lungs and heart etc...)

Ooooooo, *observes new wrist attire* shiny. :3
*bumbles about on all fours* You can say that again! I'd be very interested in the mechanics of the motor skills, it must be odd to control so many limbs at once. Then again, centipedes have no trouble, and they have a more simplified brain... But ow my spine! DX And I wouldn't be able to reach my tail. ;C

your brain will adapt to it ^^
To simplify things taurs work in 2 halves, Top half which is head to hips and Your bottom half, from your front hips to tail.
Top half is anthro and the bottom half works more feral like, just think of it as moving as feral, but you got hands and arms to grab things and use them.
Most taurs reproductive parts tend to be near the back legs near the tail, so taurs to mate semi-feral, as you might have seen ^^
There are longer taurs out there with multiple legs similar to a centipede, i know an 8 legged taur. he has 10 limbs altogether. so he is very long.
And you can reach your tail easily just turn your top half a bit and grab it ^^ *tugs your on tail*
Don't worry your spine is all more durable and should be able take people sitting on your back, just be careful, critters and non-taur friends might want to sit on your lower back for ride.

My first few hours were the most difficult. after that i got the hang of walking, then running. there's nothing like being a taur. it beats being feral cause you have arms and handpaws. and it beats being anthro cause you can carry more stuff run faster and move really really heavy things! not to mention more paws for cuddling ^3^
