All of my rats have been good outside.
I just make sure to keep them close, and only play with them in an open area where there is no where for them to run and hide, just in case.
Mine are so clingy I almost have to force them to go more then a few niches away lol
They mostly just wanna sit on my lap and smell the air.

I'm actually rather offended that people would assume that I am that stupid.
As stated in the photos text, this is at my local university, not a open field out in the middle of no where.
Clearly I am going to have a eye our for potential danger, but I'm intelligent enough to avoid a location that would have a clear chance of danger for my animals.
Also, this grass is very clearly well kept and short, so unless there is a kitten lurking, I'm sure I'd see it coming from a mile away.
Next time you comment, think for just a second.
Don't just blurt out nonsense to try to look educated on a subject.
I am a trained wildlife handler, rehabber, and trainer.
I'm pretty sure I can handle a baby rat at a park.

That's pretty neat!
I'm never sure the rarity of eye colors, or even what they mean sometimes.
I just know he's cute as a button. But it's super rad he's got something extra special about him hehe.
Actually.
I'm going to be sending you a pic of his eye if you don't mind.
Em and I were looking at it, it appears he's just blind in one eye (it's a bit milked over) but we wanted to e sure it wasn't an infection.

They are rather rare in the normal pet trade.
A lot of chain pet stores don't carry them in their normal stock because they have more strict breeding requirements, and care is slightly different.
But if you have a more local "Mom and Pop" pet store that has rats, they will likely have connections with a breeder who will have hairless babies.
