So what we have here is my first attempt at a Brass half hard (Very stiff) square wire project. Normally i work with round dead soft (not as stiff..dur) Copper wire.
I like copper for its versatility, affordability and wide range of available colors. most copper wire brands are fairly soft and easier to work with, the limitations are that sometimes if not set right, copper wire could snag and loosen altogether or just fall apart due to excessive wear and tear.
This is a half hard brand of brass square wire. I avoided working with it in the past due to its difficulty (at least locally) to find and cost.
this kind of wire is very strong and durable, its prolly best for my kind of project work due to its stability, however sometimes it can be a lil too stable, half hard is a lil hard to work with and without a boat load of patients, it wont form to your stone like a dead soft will. if one is not careful one could accidentally crack or scratch your stone.
not to mention the challenge involved in simply bending small curves into your project.
However i think ill work with it more, such material could add a more professional essence to my creations as well as longevity to the bearer.
Oh yeah, the stone is a med piece of brown cream agate, it would have a better image to it, but in a strange daze i ended up building the project backwards (laughs) so what your seeing is the support backing, urf.

You know a lot of people told me how much they liked it from this angle than from the one i originally intended, guess it was a fortunate accident, that or the stone just wanted to be worked on differently.
Oh good, you mean the lens wasn't broken after all? wonderful news those things cant be cheap, and i know how sad it made you to think you lost a piece of your camera equipment.
