I spend most of my time and energy fighting my own shadows and reflections.
Which is real?
Shadows fall, that's what they do.
But how can you tell which is falling?..
Btw, this is what january feels like over here. We used to have plenty of snow. Darn global warming.
I'm not completely happy with how this one turned out.

It's good -- in fact, essential -- to have a critical attitude towards your own work; every skilled artist wants to become even more skilled.
But I would ask you to accept, as well, that praise for your work is often sincere... especially here, on Fur Affinity, where no one is forcing anyone else to look at your work or to comment on it.
If you feel that the perspective could be improved, or that the anatomy is not as convincing as it could be, or that the use of colour fails to convey the proper sense of scale or depth, and so on, that's fine and good. But I cannot know your intentions; I can only see the result, and base my assessment on that result. If I say that I like your work, I mean it.
