Another oddball metal release review I culled from my Metal Archives profile and updated to be more comprehensive. If you enjoy this style of music, check it out. If not, move along, unless you just like reading album reviews in general.

Thrash is awesome. The other Metal styles are awesome too, but thrashers today bring a lot more originality (in my opinion). That's one of the reasons why I love bands like Havok so much, because they're a young band that's going against the trending flow in the Metal movement today (i.e. Metalcore, breakdowns, electronic fills, etc.)
Agreed. There is a lot of really good Thrash from the 80's, when it was first perfected, but on the very same note there is even more thrash from that period which is somewhat derivative, even if it still manages to be entertaining. The problem is, everybody in the underground was trying to jump into thrash in the same way then that kids now are jumping into metalcore. There are a lot of lost gems that were underproduced, under promoted, and underexposed, but the album above just isn't one of them. An interesting listen, but not for heavy rotation.
