A cute panda girl notices you walking by her. She flashes a smile staring with her sparkling blue eyes.
This was a simple little gift I drew for my niece, Amanda, when she was 12 years old. Since she was a toddler, I occasionally liked to call her "Amanda Panda," hence the inspiration behind this drawing. She is also into drawing anime, and she likes cutesy things. With all of that in mind, I decided to draw this picture for her to put a smile on her face. She was really amused by it.
I really love the colour scheme that went into this drawing. It's nice and simplistic. It’s my first time drawing a bear of any kind; I think I did a fairly decent job. I also tried to make the arm placements as natural as possible in a certain pose rather than just keep them at the sides.
Once again, I'm not that confident drawing breasts. I also didn't know how much I should have put around her eyes without making it look like she had a black eye (from a fight). Plus I think I could've done a more natural or relaxed pose.
Overall, I like this drawing; it's simple and sweet and I'm happy my niece enjoyed it. I mean look at her! She's as cute as a button! For the record, she is not furry (at least to my knowledge). Then again, I've never even brought up the term to her before.
Japanese text is once again graciously provided by Google Translate (I really must stop depending on it).
アマンダ = Amanda
とても可愛い!! = Super-Cute!!
