sooooooo for the past 7 years i actually havnt updated or changed my colours what so ever since the old msn paint very bright blue and yellow even though alot of my other persona details have changed and evolved
so here are a few concept colour schemes, still going with blue and yellow just changing the staturation and levels (^. .^)
id looooooove to hear what you all think and which is your favourite, or even example colours you think might work, all input is appreachiated :D

I think the vibrant look of number 1 is unique. I like that you stand out so much compared to others. c:
At the same time I can completely understand updating with the times; I too first started with Paint, so I know that they had a very small pallet of colours (unless you took the time to sample colours from other things, of course).
Otherwise I'd suggest number 4; number 2 seems a bit dark to me, and 3 more purple than blue. 4 looks very water-y, and suits a water dragon such as yourself. I also like the shift of the yellow into a more tan colour; suits the underbelly and other details of your design.
Either way, good luck with your selection, and my apologies for a long-winded comment, aha. |D

Just because you started with paint doesn't mean you cant use a bright and vibrant color. I told you before that the cheerful colors of #1 match your personality the best.
and the bright color wont matter anyway in art because the artists will add shading and highlights.
