"I found the photos on my camera after... um... afterwards. I certainly didn't take them myself, and I never saw a trace of anyone else there. Far as I can remember, the camera stayed in my bag the whole time.

The first: Me alone on the top level. Standing stupidly, overawed by the size and the silence. The biggest temple I'd seen on the island yet, and the most out-of-the-way; up a narrow hill path, marked with the plainest of signposts. I'd expected a small ruin or a few standing stones."
