This is Elebrafe.
Elebrafe is a neopet.
I drew this in 2003... ten years ago.
If you don't know Elebrafe, she looks like this now.
Once upon a time, I decided to tell one of my four-legged characters it was time to stand on two feet and start wearing pants... this was the result. This is my first furry drawing.
I consider neopets to be the source of many things I still have and do today. I owe a lot to that place. Until recently though... I hadn't realized that I'd been a furry all along, and it was neopets that introduced me to the concept of animal-people as OCs. It took ten years of drawing furries to realize I was drawing furries.
So when I found this picture lurking on an old backup CD, I had to share. 17-year-old me, drawing furries and having no clue. Haha!

You were legitimately my first favourite artist! I found you shortly after I discovered the internet, since Neopets was my first website! Then through that I found dA! You had a really big impact on me to actually try to get better. I thought your stuff was just SO COOL and as a kid I spent hours reading all of your pet's stories. I still remember most of them, even! I liked Maerunis, Jadeyr and your zaffies the best.
I just managed to get my old account back on there, and I was curious to see what FA thought of neopets, and so, I ended up here and found you again! Thought I'd just say thanks for all your great work over the years. :)

Thank you! It's always a treat to hear from folks from "back in the day." I miss those days sometimes. I was a lot more productive back then. I absolutely remember you! Amazing how fast the time goes. Doesn't seem like that long ago you gave me those fanarts. I still have them.
