I've sadly been neglecting half my team, so this is my attempt to make ammends. And since I've written Kae and Kompy's chars so much, I've been trying to do more with Carlito's.

A Typically Turq Weekend
&&&
With René off on his weekend skiing trip with a certain Nidoran girl and Sam spending her free time with Emily Mentel of Team 16, the two ‘forgotten’ members of Team Turquoise—Rahne LaPries and Romano Gligax—were spending their Saturday with each other.
“Do you think Nicole’s boned René by now?” Romano asked the lapras girl conversationally, a large toothy grin plastered across her face.
Rahne looked down at the smaller girl. “Romano…” She chided. “That’s not only inappropriate it’s none of your business. Those two are very sweet together. They’re not going to let their hormones cloud their judgment.”
“Yeah…they’re no fun.” Romano sighed. Rahne rolled her eyes skyward.
“Are you going to spend the entire time speculating on someone else’s relationship?” She asked.
“Well I could talk about that cutey Zeke…” Romano started.
“Never mind.” Rahne sighed.
“You know you really need to loosen up more.” Romano shrugged then strolled ahead before she could see Rahne’s reaction. The big lapras girl looked hurt. She sighed.
Romano’s attention was suddenly drawn by a bright gleam out of the corner of her eye. “Hey I know that gleam!” She exclaimed as she leapt up and took to the air. The shiny, silver gleam Romano had spotted was the light reflecting off the metallic, sharp edged wings of her fellow student and party-girl, Skylar Ferroti. She was standing next to her teammate and roomie, Neve Oscadreja.
“Skylar!” Romano whooped as she landed in front of Skylar and her companion. “What’re you doing girl?”
“Romano!” Skylar grinned, her silver beak crinkling. “Not doing a whole lot, but hopefully that’ll change now that you’re here!”
“Hey chicas.” Neve nodded as Rahne plodded up to them. “Nice sparring session last week.” Rahne smiled wanly. Neve had taken her down with hardly any trouble.
“Thank you.” She mumbled. Neve raised an eyebrow so that it rose above her characteristic sunglasses.
“Hey tinfoil tush!” Neve called without turning to look at Skylar. Skylar half-turned to face her.
“Yeah Neve?”
“What’re you and the grinning gligar up to?”
“We’re just planning to go for a little flight around the park.” Skylar said in a too-innocent tone. Neve didn’t buy it for a second but didn’t care enough to call them on it.
“Yeah well, you two go for a good long flight. Get th’ crazy outta your systems so you don’t go buggin’ me all day.” Neve waved.
“All right!” Skylar grinned. “Race you to the parking lot! They’ve got some killer thermals out there!”
“’Scuse us while we kiss the sky!” Romano whooped as she and Skylar started flapping. “Ciao!”
“Are you sure that was a good idea?” Rahne winced as the two flighty girls took to the air and flew off. Neve shrugged.
“Eh, they’re big girls. An’ for all her crazy actin’ Skylar knows what she’s doin’. An’ she doesn't go too crazy. Anyway, now that the shiny-assed spaz and her grinning goofball sidekick are gone, how ‘bout we take a walk?”
“Okay…” Rahne replied slowly unsure of what Neve had in mind. They started walking towards the center of the park. The two could not have made for a more mismatched pair. While they were both ice-type girls, Rahne was of a very tall and stout stature and could be described as being matronly. Neve, by contrast, was small even for a sneasel and radiated hotness. But Rahne was a very shy, unconfident girl whereas Neve practically radiated energy, attractiveness, and a take no crap attitude.
“So chica,” Neve spoke up suddenly as they walked. “René tells me that you work a lot. That true?”
Rahne nodded. “That’s true. It’s part of the reason why I don’t manage to spend as much time practicing as I should.” She looked glum. “It shows, doesn’t it?”
“You fret too much, you did fine.” Neve shook her head. “No need to beat yourself up…”
“…that’s the opponent’s job.” Rahne finished. “Coach Marceau says that all the time.” They approached an empty park bench and sat down.
“He’s right you know.” The sneasel pointed out. “You okay? Geez, you lookin’ like a car jest ran over your meowth.”
“I just…have a lot on my plate.” Rahne looked away. “Work and school stuff.” Neve nodded once, still watching her.
“Yeah, must be hard…repeating the Sophomore grade.” She said slowly, keenly watching Rahne for her reaction.
The lapras girl’s jaw tightened and she shifted her shoulders in obvious discomfort. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“I know. Even René doesn’t know why you were held back.” Neve regarded her. “It hurts you know.”
“What are you talking about?” Rahne asked quickly.
“It hurts him that you not trust ‘im.” Neve shrugged. “Little chica talks to me…talks a LOT you know. He says he likes you…but doesn’t understand why you don’t trust him enough to talk about it. He tells you everything. You tell him nothing.”
“Look, this isn’t something I’m comfortable talking about…” Rahne fidgeted.
“Which is all th’ more reason why you got to, I’m thinkin’.” Neve eyes narrowed as Rahne idly ran a hand back through her hair. Suddenly, Neve’s small three-clawed hand darted out and grabbed the larger girl by the wrist. Even though she couldn’t get her hand all the way around Rahne’s thick arm, she didn’t need to.
“Let GO!” Rahne half-demanded, half-pleaded.
“Sure, no problem.” The sneasel said flatly. “As soon as you explain THESE!” She tug backed the sleeve of Rahne’s shirt, revealing a series of faded scars running along her wrists.
Rahne jerked her arm away. Neve let go, it was enough that Rahne knew that she knew. “Care to explain? And don’t be trying to tell me that Sam did that, cuz I ain’t estupido.”
Shutting her eyes, Rahne grabbed hold of her wrist and started crying. Neve sighed. “I’m sorry. I know how you feel…”
“You KNOW how I feel?” Rahne snapped her head up, uncharacteristically upset. She got to her feet, rising to her full height until she towered over Neve, her hands balled into trembling fists. “René talks to be about you too, you know. I’m not as lucky as you Neve! I don’t have a big family full of brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles and cousins where everyone can look out for one another! It’s just me and my dad. My mom died a long time ago and my dad’s been living out of the bottle ever since! I’m the one who has to work just so we can pay the bills!”
“I don’t have your good looks or your attitude!” Rahne fumed as hot tears burned their way down her cheeks. “I’m big and fat! I can’t enter a room without banging my head on the ceiling or having to turn sidewise just to fit through the door! No one’s head ever turns to look my way, except when they want to see what’s shaking the furniture!”
Neve titled her head up until she could stare at the much larger pokemorph in the eyes. “Chica.” She said slowly. “Rahne…If René talked abou’ me as much as you say, then you should know more about me familia. Being small is no picnic either ya know. I was always getting picked on and havin’ my self-esteem put down by siblings and cousins fer being th’ runt a the litter. The only way I coul’ fight back was to be this acid-tongued girl who pitted members of mi familia against one ‘another.
An’ it’s no secret that I got into some trouble in the streets of my old neighborhood. It wasn’t a safe place. My brother DIED in those streets, so yes Rahne, I DO know a lil about your pain. I’d still be there if my uncle hadno dragged me here. Now, I ain’t comparing your life to mine or trying to figure who had it worse—I’m trying to understand why you did that to yourself and why you don’t tell your friends.”
Rahne’s fists clenched and unclenched. She sniffed and rubbed with the back of her hand. “I-I was just SO tired and stressed out last year…my dad had just lost his latest job and we didn’t even have running water. I was failing school and tired all the time because of my jobs and the anniversary of my mom’s death came up and…and…I couldn’t take it.” She squeaked out in a very soft voice. “So I found one of my dad’s razor blades and…”
Rahne sat back down and covered her face. “When he found me, he called the hospital. I spent the next three months in and out of hospitals, rehabs, and intensive counseling. So much that I missed too much schoolwork to catch up. And…that’s it.” She sighed. “I told everyone I had a bout of mono and that was that.”
“No chica. That wasn’t ‘that’ and you know it.” Neve looked at her. “You need to talk to your team about this, ‘specially René.”
“But why does he need to know?” Rahne asked, practically begging. “He—he looks to me like a big sister. And—and I don’t want to let him down.”
“He needs to know because he cares about you and why you’re so sad alla time.” Neve returned. “And because if you store up all the grief and guilt, sooner or later you’re just gonna end up in the same state that made you suicidal in the first place.”
Rahne sniffed. “I—I guess you’re right…”
“You’re damn right I’m right,” Neve snorted. “But since René ain’t here, here’s what we’re gonna do. You and I are going to the ice bar and just chill out for a while…Then we’ll probably have to go and bail Skylar and Romano out from whatever trouble they got themselves into.”
“…I thought you said that they wouldn’t go too crazy.” Rahne blinked.
“I LIED.”

Yes, I believe I finally have sufficient data to write a story with Rahne in it, where she meets Ignacious in an unexpected way. Stay tuned for it.
I'm not entirely sure where it'll stand in the grand timeframe, because I'm still not sure whether or not I should set the occurrence of my story "Encounter with the Darkfall Girls. A shocked kitsune!" before or after Rene and Nicole's Big Ski Trip. All I can say is that this story will occur shortly after "Encounter with Darkfall Girls. A shocked kitsune!".
I'm off to write it right now!
