JUST WANT TO EXPLAIN SOMETHING HERE FOR SOMEONE.
I literally made this in ten minutes, BUT.
I wanted to emphasize the importance of both the stabilizer and the minimum size tools/settings in Paint Tool SAI.
A combination of the two can really help with painting/drawing furs and the like, as you can see. The lower the minimum size is (I use 0%), the more it'll taper off at the end of your stroke. THIS, combined with the stabilizer tool (I always have my stabilizer set to S-1, a very slow and drawn out stroke) and it gives me killer results when I want to add fur accents and the like.

I honestly have no idea how you would incorporate this into PS. You could probably do the minimum size part, but as for slowing down your strokes... I'm not all too sure. I think there is a program out there that you can implement into PS and it'll act as the stabilizer would in SAI. I'm nooot sure what it's called, though.
That's really strange... maybe try re-installing SAI and then try it again? ;v;
