A short story inspired by a wonderful piece  phazonalloy made for me, which you can find here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10514759/ I told her to draw her impression of my alien species the Alpha-Straxin, and while watching her draw it I was inspired by its appearance. It had such an impression of both great age and vulnerability. I had to try and see if I could flesh it into reality.

This piece is a Mass Effect-based fanfic, as my previous posts on the species can attest to. As with most of my shorts, this is a moment-in-time piece, with very little in the way of before and after explanation. I may or may not expand more on it in the future.

EDIT: I guess I have to point out that if anyone is confused reading this, wondering "what the hell has this really to do with Mass Effect, other than it has a few Asari and mentions the Citadel", well...yeah. Lacking any background detail would do that. I suppose if anyone has any questions, you are free to post in the comments, and I'll answer them as best I can.
