I think it's because you set a pretty high standard for your published works. Your customer is confident that you'll produce a piece that will match or exceed any current works (in their eyes), and the customer is probably quite capable of seeing past the rough sketch into what the piece will become as they're very likely familiar with your work to date. :)
She looks pretty awesome and super sexy to me Nail! Don't be so hard on yourself but, I guess that's why you do such amazing work. It's not perfect until you say, it is and I like that! Still looks pretty good I'll definitely have to commission you in the near future my friend.
You may not want to be so rude to your patrons. You might be a big "celebrity" among furs now, but being an ass to the people that pay you for your work is just weak and a bad idea. If you disagree with your customers choices, keep it to yourself or with your close friends. Remember, they are paying you and deserve to be treated with respect.
