And now, the reason why I don't have much art to show for this week. lol
11"x14" piece commissioned by
of his spiny tailed monitor Ferrus working some magic with my characters Maraschino and Hotaru. They are both fire fae, so I figured that'd be my working theme for this picture, with lots of glowy stuff and warm colors. I couldn't begin to tell you *exactly* what they're doing here, but given the mischievous nature of Mara and Hotaru I'm sure its probably something naughty. lol
Spent many, MANY hours on this one, but I think the result is worth all the time. My scanner sort of did wierd things to this, like, it made all the colors in the background super dark, but the brown on Hotaru's fur is really faded looking. I didn't actually even need to adjust the levels on this because it was already so dark. It'll look much better in person though. :)
