Eh, could be worse, could be better for 2 years.
I'd really appreciate comments or critique on this one (the picture or my own observations below) if anyone taking a look has an opinion. For myself:
the good
- I think I have a better sense for color nowadays
- I'm aware that composition is a thing, not entirely sure what to do with it yet
- I've become a little bit more comfortable with digital media
to improve
-Linework linework linework. First and by far foremost are my lines which seem to oscillate between sloppy and lazy, to stiff and ...I guess forced? This has plagued me ever since I knew it was a thing, I need to keep trying to make my linework more interesting and eye catching, I don't really know how to pursue this so I'll just keep trying to emulate things I like and hope something sticks
-anthro faces/ expressions. Part of this is just practice, I need to draw more heads and faces, from reference and not. The other part is I think I need to develop more of a "style" which is also my third point
-I keep, I think, trying to force myself into one style or another we'll say this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10415857/ and this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10440100/ just for examples, there are others. I really prefer the latter myself, but the former seems to be popular. And if I could "perfect" the technique of the former, well I know it can produce very desirable results, seemingly faster. Either way, I feel once again I should just keep trying things and hopefully something will emerge from the efforts
phew, okay I'm done now.
