Zee-Zee had seen a trailer for an exciting cartoon movie, and pestered all the grown-ups he knew until they got him the DVD! He settled down on Uncle Runt's lap to watch it.
"Now, Zee-Zee, there might be some parts that are a little bit scary," said Runt, who'd watched it in advance and ruled it just-about-suitable for toddlers. "Don't forget, it's only a cartoon, it's not real, okay?"
"I know!" Zee-Zee said, cheerfully. "I'm clever and grown-up and I don't get nightmares even from really scary things any more!"
"Good boy," Uncle Runt said, ruffling his headfur. "And I'm always here with you, just in case. Did you go to the potty?" he asked.
"Uh-huh," Zee-Zee nodded impatiently, although he actually hadn't, "Let's start the movie!"
It wasn't a terribly scary movie, but there was an evil witch, with a very evil laugh, and a scary monster, and when it came right up to the front of the TV screen and looked for a moment like it might come out and get any little squirrels who might be watching... well, it turned out that even the bravest big squirrels sometimes aren't completely certain what's real and what's just a cartoon.
But the scary bit was soon over, and Zee-Zee insisted on keeping on watching to the end! "Uncle Runt, don't get in the way!" he squeaked with annoyance while Runt changed his pull-up as he stood in front of the couch.
"Sorry, champ," Runt chuckled, wiping the little squirrel with a grin. "Soon have you all clean and fresh again!"
And the next day at daycare, Zee-Zee couldn't wait to tell all his friends about the super-scary movie he'd seen and not been frightened at all! Even a little bit!

Aww, I wonder what movie he saw!
To be honest, I'm weird when it comes to horror. I'm afraid of children's horror (i.e. "Goosebumps" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?") more than I'm afraid of adult-horror. Horror movies for adults don't really scare me. I saw "The Exorcist" expecting to get scared out of my mind... nothing. It didn't scare me. I go back and watch children's horror and some of them still scare me. There's a scene in the Are You Afraid of the Dark episode called "The Tale of the Dark Music" that still scares the bejezus outta me LOL

I'll agree with WiiMaster there. Diapees are great for movies in general and horror movies especially cuz they can scare the pee outta cubs quite literally. ^^
Well at least this was only mildly scary. Lig here had the misfortune of staying up with his daddy late one night and seeing Stephen King's IT. And now you know why the lil guy is phobic of clowns. Hehe.
