Train Day 2013: Lil' Stinky Pulls Some Stumps
Meet Lil' Stinky
Lil' Stinky To The Rescue
I'm gonna get a bunch of those self-adhesive flat weights, add a few ounces ballast and turn Lil' Stinky into a stump-puller.
And lo and behold, 6 ounces of new weight later, our hero IS quite the stump puller! Thirteen freight cars and going strong, from a stock capability of maybe four freight cars on a good day with a bit of a tail wind...
By contrast, the Red Rocket's consist is only eleven cars...
Even the gi-raffes is impressed!

Ah, yes...nothing like taking the train for a spin.
I had mine running last night, with my new DB double deck cars:

I didn't have the right engine for it, so instead I used my DSB MZ ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DSB_Class_MZ ), and I ran it as a pushing engine. Wonderful to see it go, and with no derailings despite the engine being in the end of the train.

Yep, if it should have a name, it would be "The Lady in Red". Looks quite cool as it rushes down the track or slowly approaches the platform.
I also got two cleaning cars (from Lux). One is a miniature vacuum cleaner, the other a motorized, rotating brush. It's pure magic, and a must when living with two cats, I think.
