Id suggest getting one from somewhere else. This one is heavy duty and tough but im not happy how the bridle fits.

http://www.ronshorseharness.com/ Is where I got it. Just make sure your measurements are very specific as your harness will be custom made and if you want a side check instead of an over check make sure you tell them.

They were very nice to work with and their harness is much sturdier than many others I have seen. I think the problem is that my mini has a rather wide head and I need to buy a wider brow band.

I have never had trouble with stray dogs and my mini because my big appaloosa eats them for breakfast. My dogs are very horse friendly and will even entertain small amounts of play with them. We did have one incident with my mothers dog while she was visiting. She has a very romanticized view of how her dog behaves and decided it would be a great idea to let him off leash in the field. She managed to catch him before he did too much damage to my yearling; just a few small nips and a bunch of stress really. He recovered quickly with just a little topical antibiotic and she learned that her dog is not as nice as she thinks he is. It really depends on the horse...my stud and yearling are very timid but my mare will chase dogs off and hoof them in the face if they get too close. Most of the time I worry more about some one stealing them than anything else.

The item I was trying to buy runs between $400-$600 though I am thinking now that perhaps I will just buy some pipe and fabricate my own cart but that still takes money that I dont have and after my latest vehicle repair bill I am having a hard time paying for living expenses.

The minis I used to trim were always a WHOLE lot less trouble to work with than the gawd-awful spoiled Shetlands!

They do usually have great temperments. My little stud is still pastured with a yearling colt and they are both very friendly with each other.

This pony needs a little monkey in breeches and helmet.

He would probably be ok with that too. This little guy has never told me no...I even put him in my car! I asked and he walked right in. ^_^
