Was this a salt mine, or was the salt harvested from a lake or tideflats?

Tide pools, or really flats originally, then altered to pools. This was once part of Oliver Salt. I had wanted to go inside but there is actually a guard in a trailer in the property.

All you gotta do is find a way AROUND the trailor. :p

Oh, there are many ways around it, it's just the property is cleared and the trailer has full view of anyone entering from the road or business park.

It does not have a view of the former salt ponds, well, because there's no way I'm going to rent a boat, don a wetsuit and sloshsloshslosh through 1/2 of mudflats and bogs to HOPEFULLY not be seen by everyone else in the mudflat reserve I'd have to cross. :)

(While not getting any mud or salt on my gear)
