Having a 12 foot flat bed is handy, but I'm thinking of making a shell to put on it for camping.

That's just the kind of camper I like, too. Something that doesn't turn the truck into a camper and nothing else. My favorite, though, are trailers, because they can be lived in even when not attached to the truck. I'm not sure if that can be done with even the removable truck-mounted campers.
