Pads are vinyl, and the claws are Sculpey Premo encased in Worbla. You can see in the second photo what the claws look like in the background. I wanted them to be stable and sturdy within the glove. I used the Sculpey to make a 3D form to shape the Worbla around, otherwise they looked like card-stock. >__>
