This is my new skull: A draft horse mare. The seller said she came from a German museum and that she was 25 years old. He called her Rufus :p
She's my biggest skull and I know I shouldn't have bought her, but I fell in love the moment I saw her...

It doesn't sound dumb at all! I fell in love with her curves and smooth lines. She's quite something.
That's a very good question! She came from a museum and people normally do that so that the two sides of the jaw stick together, but her jaw is so fused together that it wasn't even necessary. I removed the wire and I think she looks better now :)

Ah, that;s so interesting! I was thinking it must be for making sure the jaws don't break apart (my arctic fox's jaw does that all the time, I've glued it a million times, just given up and let it be separate now)
Ah, I bet she's pride of place now :D Lovely jubbly!
