Two weeks ago I put out a call for help--I wanted to draw some crazy combination of creatures and the goofier, the better. You can read all about it in this journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4583341/
Well, after a long delay I finally sat down and tried sketching this chimera out on the 'ol Wacom tonight. It ended up taking a LOT longer than I thought, but I'm decently happy with how it turned out. Yeah, the proportions are fairly whack, but, well...I'm working on that and this creature is pretty whack to begin with. :P
So here's the bug-eyed, beaked, tiger pawed, pipe organ-armed, gargoyle-winged, sloth-bodied, pangolin-tailed, living and petrified tree-legged, peanut butter & jelly and lynx-pawed hipster skanking out to some off-stage dubstep.
Art is mine, character is the fault of/belongs to:
toeclaws
rosehexwit
sarkiran
dfwd00d
chezne
chittebengo
zyrephdragon
kurradragon
duskcheetah

Bwa ha ha, yay, glad you like it! :D Good golly that was tough, though surprisingly fun. I just sat down intending to get a start on it tonight, but 2ish hours later and, well, yeah. I don't know if I can do *anything* yet, but I definitely want to try this exercise again sometime. :) It was a lot of work, but surprisingly fun.
Thanks! :) After not having drawn on the Wacom in a few months I have to admit that it felt much better and more intuitive this time around (probably from doing more serious practice in the sketchbook first). There's still tons of room for improvement, but I am pretty happy with how this turned out.
Thanks, I think! :P I didn't get the tiger stripes on the body (I thought they would have made it too busy and obscured some of the other details), but there is at least a hint of that on the right tiger paw hand thing. This was certainly a crazy (but good and fun) drawing exercise! I don't think I would want to do these all the time, but would I do another? Yes.
