Got to spend some quite quality time with my normally aggressive Colombian Red Tail boa.
She's been getting much calmer over the past year, and I'm so happy about that.
As a rescue, I only ever wanted her to be happy.

I've had her since she was tiny, she has no intention of hurting me.
She could hurt me, if I was to handle her incorrectly, but I'm very confident in what I'm doing.
Holly is far to small to view me as food just yet.
She's much happier to munch on frozen/thawed rats :)

Her instincts also tell her to not size up something so much larger then her as food.
She has no reason to constrict for anything else but controlling her movement and holding onto her surroundings.
Constricting to kill isn't something she would ever do to a human at her size.
The only aggression a constrictor like a boa is going to display is biting.
Which she has done in the past.
But we have worked on over time.
