What's the life expectancy of a mobile suit pilot in the Wing universe, 6 hours? You think for the production costs to make a mobile suit, combined with the number of hours you'd have to train as a mobile suit pilot, you'd think the Earth Sphere Alliance AND OZ would make more durable mobile suits and come up with at least one pilot that's as well-trained as the Gundam pilots. It's partly kind of why I hated Wing.

yeah many gundam fans hated wing cause they made the gundam so overpowered. Hell in universal century the gundams took heavy damage in combat. hell even in 0080 a zaku managed to wreck NT1 which is just awesome. Plus it's the reason why most don't like seed cause they take the OP level up to eleven.


I will say I love some of the designs from gundam wing especially this little guy so I had to have it in my collection. plus Noin was bad ass in it even though she upgraded to a taurus mid season :(

It's probably not the gundams as much as the impenetrable plot armorial they have. You would have scenes where you'd have a bunch of these suits gather around the Tallgeese and and self-detonate only to see him fly away unscathed. No fucking way a non-main character would survive such a situation. OZ was going to blow up the Wing Zero with the explosive power to tear up 3 Leos, detonated the explosives. Boom. Unscathed. Whereas you'd have Victory Gundam where the main characters ARE mortal (and boy, does it prove it to you) and then you have 08th MS Team where you have battles that are strategically thought out, taking terrain and effective utilization of resources into account... and then you have Wing, which has fights consisting of "One dimensional Gundams/Main Characters>Nameless pilots". Aries were always nice mobiles suits in my opinion.. Although, can't say I don't like any mobile suit from Gundam Wing.

Gundams n dem sexy (imo) yet OP Virgos. Plot Armor imo ruined it for me and probably everyone else.
