4chan Follower, /b/-tardess: Anonynette
ARTISTS: BE BRUTALLY HONEST
A rookie cyber-bully on most Internet forums. Her mother and father died three years ago, and was burdened with sadness until Anonymous introduced her to the "soothing" world of 4chan, where they took her in and turned her into a heartless computer code-hacker. Now, though she owes Anonymous a debt of gratitude - following his teachings wherever they may lead her - she still feels sad and empty inside, aware that she is close to throwing her life away.
Determined to find out what the purpose of her life is, she sets out on a search for clues while eradicating all of 4chan's targets. Though she may lack in trolling skills, she makes up for any mistake with her knuckle knife and her junior assassin revolver.
This drawing was partially influenced by my appreciation for the BlazBlue franchise (as evidenced by the "crest" and the "astral heat").
Actually, this drawing is more of a character concept rather than a drawing. This was just something I was experimenting with while listening to Jean Grey's/Phoenix's Theme from Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.
Kind of a clever name, don't you think so? "Anonynette." It's got a nice ring to it! In any case, I found it an interesting challenge to try and conjure what a female member of Anonymous' legion would look like. I chose to maintain the business formalities and give her a suit as well. I think it suits her well (see what I did there?). I like how I made her simple-looking yet not too bland. I gave her small but lethal weapons suited to her stature and body-type. It was a tad bit awkward attempting to draw her holding her sunglasses, but I think I did a fairly decent first-try. This is also my first time I drew someone crying! I mean it's true that I have Leo tearing up back in my first submission, but she is actually crying here! I tried to enlarge her eyes to give them that nice watery, sorrowful effect.
Though my attempts at drawing a female once again were fairly, I still need more work. I’m still unsure how much is too much when trying to define outlines of breasts under clothing; this also affects how I draw shades and clothing folds as well (I mean I don't shades and folds, but you get where I'm going with this). I especially have a problem with her arm and hand in the pose where she's holding her sunglasses; the placement is rather mucky and the fingers look a bit warped. I didn't too much effort in the poses when I should have; not having much space to draw and finding the right poses can prove to be exceedingly difficult at times. As for the weapons, I didn't really give them much thought. I just whipped them up and just placed them in the picture. They don't seem like meaningful weapons to her; in my eyes, they don't do her justice. Any ideas for weapons - or attacks - for her would be greatly appreciated.
With all of that in mind, I like this picture overall. It's a different change of pace in terms of character concept design/layout. And still have a couple more where that came from.
