Commission for chancewolf and cupricfox.
Collaboration with dbear
A warm, calm, and peaceful piece, laced with some genuine romance among
Chance and Cupric by a campfire. Some gentle but close physical affection,
maybe a few soft spoken words, and just shutting the rest of the world out for
a bit to appreciate what and who you have.
I'm a sappy guy, so it's always fun when the chance (get it?) arises to do any
art that expresses any form or degree of "feelings" and "love".
When Chance approached us about a commission, and he gave us the options,
we ended up going with this campfire scene; which is instantly exciting because
it instantly meant a few things: fun dramatic lighting, warm tones, and a scene
with "daww" potential.
I was sort of blank at first, but dBear sketched up the scene that I really liked,
so we inked it up, colored it, and passed it back and fourth between himself and I,
like a volleyball, putting our efforts into it until we got something we were both
really happy with, and I think we ended up with something that we hope Chance and
Cupric are even half-as-happy with, as we are. :)
dBear (Pun King) naturally made the title that I instantly made me smile, hehe :)
