On a recent flight that involved a segment from Chicago to Seattle, I tracked my flight based on time and thought of all the folks I flew past on my journey. Given the distant placement of friends over the continent, a cross-country trip seemed like a walk through a neighborhood. From East to West, I took off with marcothecat to my left, passed fvorte to the right, dogteeth, cubetriangle and aixarata midway, and got so tantalizingly close to hottapwater and kilmo during a layover in Seattle.
