...the architecture is made with minimal inorganic materials, such as I-beams. Letting the landscape mold itself around the structure like a body trying to isolate a foreign presence.

Very neat, very interesting. I like the stitched on flesh appearance for certain parts. Gives me a Hellraiser vibe almost, though I suppose less S&M involved, hah!
Did you ever play or see a playthrough of Alice: Madness Returns? There's one level, "Queensland" that I get vague impressions of here. It's also a level that's meant to be a living organism, veins, pulsating muscle, blood, tendrils, all coming from one source. It was creepy and gorgeous in it's own way.

you know, working on this was honestly more about getting back in touch with the art styles I had back in high-school. Where I would just start detailing one section and branch outwards from there without any forethought of overall design. it was very liberating, but a bit time consuming. I should do more and try to find like, a happy medium between the detail and the time. Hell-raiser wasn't exactly something I was thinking about when I was doing this, but John Carpenter's 'The Thing' sure was, AS was this one particular scene from the movie "Sword and the Sorcerer."
And we actually have that game, and I've watched the wife play through some of it. she got to the clockwork world of the Hatter and then, I dunno, guess she got distracted, but I did see the dress made out of organic material that flopped all about with the PhysX glamor. I'll be sure to coax her into getting back into it so I can see this delightful sounding environment.
