
-]. I'll be very honest, I'm happy with how he's looking now, but I ain't happy with my performance, it took me 6 months to get here O_O. It's so frustrating how almost all main muscles are easy but then one muscle can throw you back guessing for ages, 3D modeling is about keeping the topology simple without over adding geometry and also to keep polygons as quads makes it really hard.
Well anyway Right now, I've always wanted to sort the external obliques and I finally got them ^_^ I like the way they go into the serratus anterior and between the abs as well, I've also rounded the abs a bit better also and added a few rips on the chest. I may still tweak stuff here and there but at the mo, I wanna sort out his back and arms and then we can finally start the head :D .[-

I have such trouble with topo... I get really obsessed with adding as few faces as possible and solving really annoyingly difficult geometrical problems when I could easily fix the problem by just 'caving' and putting a new loop in. >< glad you're having a better time of it!

Shouldn't this level of detail be done through normal-mapping?

Some people have told me that this way will easier to rig up and animate cause there's more freedom in all the parts of the body you move and I'll be using skin morph method, there could be easier methods but I don't know yet. But I may use it just to veins and palm lines and since I'm crap at zbrush, that will be hard work let alone doing that AND this detail I've done manually
