I guess he took idea that the small bricks and with just a single layer it got to make a weak wall. Obviously he doesn't know that those come in many sizes and the strength of a brick wall comes from the used cement mix. Besides with the concrete setting behind the growing wall the bricks are more of decorative elements than anything else :3
