I didn't realize it either at the time! It teaches you wonderful things! Not just about the equipment, but about the shape of dogs and what differentiates breeds from each other. When you spend an hour or more on each dog, you begin to learn their specific traits! It's a great profession!
oh gawd thank you!
I was wondering about the blades but always just kept my 10 on my oster
So i take it if i get a 7,5 sized blade i dotn have to use the clip on guards anymore?
i dont like the clip attachments, they get plugged up to often and the blades dont cut as well i find myself having to go over the same area far to many times.
Also... i think my oster is broken... the blades not wanting to stay in place i find that im spending more time fixing it and putting it back into place more than shaving....shaving takes a long time for me to do as you can see haha!
nice to know other shavers i can get that are cheap AND work! i was too afraid to get anything to cheap cause i wasnt sure if it would work.

Yes! If your clipper has a detachable blade, any blade with a smaller number will leave the fur longer. The smaller the number, the longer it will leave the fur. We like to use the #7F on faces and the #5F on feet/hands.
Do you mean the blade doesn't want to stay down? Or the attachment tries to slide off the blade?
I love Andis equipment. They make so many good products. I've never been dissatisfied.

you know the little lever that takes the blade back and forth? That i think squeaks somethings squeaking in there no matter how much i oil it and let it sit.
and the bar that the blade slides on, thats what its falling off um...the track i guess is what you would call it
and i dont know why. I can tell it falls off cause it will make a rattling noise
i bought a whole new blade pack, a #10. Cause thats what it came with until now i i didnt know the difference. but the blade, everything has been changed and it still does it.
i figured i screwed all of the stuff in wrong. but i took it apart and re assembled it so many times.
I feel its slowly ruining my clippers =/
