She asked me to draw up two of her fancharacters from the SatAM universe, Takara (the one getting slapped) and Saori (the one that's doing the slapping). Basically, these two used to be friends, but after Saori was betrayed by her own kind she turned evil, and now works for Robotnik.

But Takara did not know this when she was reunited with Saori, so as you can see... things got somewhat awkward between the two.

The scene I had in mind was basically Takara tried to convince Saori that she was still able to return to her own kind, and that it'll be okay if she did so. But Saori being Saori, she did not take that with all the good intention Takara intended. More like it brought up some pent up rage and she lashed out at her once dear friend.

Notice that Saori's leg arm is cybernetic. I wanted it to be a bit symbolic that she didn't use that arm to slap Takara, because I'm sure deep down, Saori does still love her friend and wishes things could be as simple as she says they are.

I tried a different approach with this commission. Like I said these two are Aura's fancharacters from SatAM, so I figured it'll be fun to try to make it look like they're from there. So I "painted" the background in OpenCanvas, then I cel-shaded the characters themselves in Photoshop. The effect isn't quite the same as the screenshots I was using as reference, but then this is the first time I've actually "painted" something. So I tried. XP
