still trying to get used to only using colors so there's still much work to do.

I have been using the Black and white method when I began drawing and after making a value drawing, you can just add a color layer on top to color the picture. I felt that doing it the black and white way prevented me from finding the harmony and the significance that color can provide so when I entered college, I threw away my old method and started with line sketch and diving into colors straight away which is why my style change drastically from how i began.
This method i found out was more enjoyable and exciting to find different color harmonies =]

Now that I restrict myself from using photo textures, my drawings have been taking a long time to create XD

It took me some time to figure it out how was the body´s angle, there was so many details and colors that I couldn´t notice at first ^ ^º but now I see is from a side. Those details of the light comming through the trees looks pretty good, no need for showing the lightings rays getting through there, the bright areas of the leafs helps to make the idea all clearly ^ ^

Say, what kind of specie would you describe him? It could be something like a faune with some elemental natures on him like his horns looking like a part of the tree with those fruits, and of course, that floral arm.

Yeah, the pose was actually just sketched out to provide the side view but when i drew the main pose, it didn't look good so i just decided to make a showcase piece out of this not thought out pose huhuhu.
The light is just for clarification as to where the direction of the light was coming for just in case.

He's actually a mountain goat.
This concept of the tenshii was actually rejected because this rendition of tenshii weren't not human enough and they were pretty adamant on making them look human with a close bond with nature.
I'm actually not on the character art team so these were made on my own free time, but now I have to focus on environment art primarily from now on.

Is that so, well I have to say that even if this is just for something personal by yourself and to see how would it looks, is a nice work, but too bad that at the momment you´re not part of the character´s design team. But hey, you made good landscapes with the proper themes and uses of certain elements to make them looks pretty good ^ ^

In my case, I suck on making landscapes or backgrounds, I still need more practice with that, what I like the most is to create character´s designs XD I wish I can get more and more better on that to have what it´s required for the character´s development ^ ^

These colors are so lush and vibrant together.... he's positively decadent-looking. Like a floral-themed dessert... Tasty.
